'Bill spent a lot of time on computers'

NEW DELHI: William F Gates Senior, 78-year-old father of the billionaire Gates says his son used to spend a lot of time with his friends playing computer at the high school he attended.
"Here, they learnt to write software programmes. They did the school curriculum schedule. They gained a lot of practical experience."
Asked if it was true that he was also hacking? "He was a hacker. But he wasn''t doing criminal things."
Despite his wealth, Gates Sr adheres to much of his early lifestyle. He has not moved out his house for instance. "I don''t need more space. My house is sufficient for me."
How does he use his wealth? "Much the same way as other people do: I don''t have to think about how much I spend on a hamburger," he adds simply.
Finally, how does it feel to be father of billionaire Bill Gates? "There''s just no describing it," says an emotional father. "I couldn''t be more proud."
